Our hereditary angioedema medical education opportunities include online activities and regional meetings for physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners who specialize in allergy/immunology and dermatology. Topics include differentiation of the various types of hereditary angioedema (Type I, Type II, and normal C1-INH), and incorporating current, novel, and emerging treatments.
Hereditary angioedema (HAE) treatment is rapidly evolving after a long period of limited treatment options. Over the past 8 years, several effective medications for the treatment of HAE have been introduced into clinical practice, with a second wave of novel therapies on the horizon. Given the broadening therapeutic options available to physicians and patients, expect the HAE treatment paradigm to continue to shift as we learn the impact of these current and emerging treatments.
